A High Decibel Night to Remember!
Billy Joe Huels of The Dusty 45s
A full house marked DESC's Gimme
Shelter 2010, a benefit concert at The Triple Door, with headlining band The Dusty 45s and opening
act Chuckanut Drive.
The fundraiser took place just hours after the completion
of the national One Night Count, which identified over 2,700 people
in our community sleeping outdoors, thus reinforcing the
need for additional supportive housing for homeless adults affected
by mental illness and addictive disorders.
Among the hundreds of
supporters swaying to the music and dancing in the aisles were Congressman Jim McDermott and Senator Maria
Cantwell.
Special thanks to The Dusty 45s, Chuckanut Drive, The Triple Door,
Safeco Insurance Company, and the hundreds of friends and supporters
who attended this special event.
