Ending homelessness is not a mystery. Experience proves that placing homeless men and women in housing supported by trained staff with a complement of health care, chemical dependency treatment, and mental health services keeps even the most vulnerable and disabled adults off of the streets and safely housed.
We also know that the type of programs offered by DESC actually cost less than allowing people to remain homeless. The result is fewer tax dollars spent. Everyone benefits!
If you believe that homelessness can be eliminated, you can:- donate
- volunteer
- attend an event
- advocate
If you have questions about making a donation or would like to speak to someone about making one, please contact Mary Ann Millican, Director of Development at 206-515-1538.
