DESC and community partners will host an Overdose Awareness Day event on Friday, August 28, bringing together community members, substance use disorder providers, and people with lived experience to honor those lost to overdose and raise awareness.
This year’s theme, “Overdose is Preventable When We Act,” highlights the importance of education, resources, and connection around overdose prevention and substance use disorder treatment. The event will honor those we have lost and center community voices and those with lived experience.
