Clover Place is a permanent supportive housing location in the Woodland neighborhood of Seattle. Located at 4905 Aurora Ave N., Seattle, 98103, this affordable housing location will contain 95 studio units for single adults who are living with severe and persistent mental health conditions and experiencing chronic homelessness. The building was designed with environmental sustainability in mind and reflects DESC’s mission to promote growth and well-being for our tenants.
Dedicated to Whole-Person Care:
This location is named after Christina Clover, RN, a nurse at DESC for 11 years who served with compassion and dedication. Highly skilled and engaging, Christina worked with deep sympathy, intelligence, and supportive humor, focusing on the mental and physical health of the clients she interacted with.
Christina’s work set an example at DESC for client-centered treatment, which she drew upon from her own experiences with psychosocial challenges and housing instability. Always keeping the client’s best interest, this location aims to set this same example — focusing on the whole person.
Services:
Clover Place provides wraparound services including behavioral health support, substance use disorder treatment, and connection to community services. There will be 2 SAGE case managers on site to assist with behavioral health services, and each tenant will also have an assigned support staff member onsite to help with the following:
- Medication monitoring
- Referrals to outpatient clinical and substance use disorder programs
- Community event facilitation
Amenities:
- 95 studio units, 5 ADA-compliant
- 25 units set aside for Apple Health and Homes referrals
- Indoor and outdoor community spaces, including courtyard, activity room, and community dining area
Tenants:
Clover Place will provide permanent supportive housing for single adults living with persistent mental health conditions, chronic health conditions – including substance use disorder – and a history of chronic homelessness. A priority will be placed based on a vulnerability assessment, assuring those most in need of housing and care receive it.

Resources to build Clover Place were primarily provided by:

Community Engagement:
We held our first community meeting on this project on Aug. 26, 2021, and a second meeting on Oct. 18, 2021.
