Evans House

Evans House is named in memory of Richard Evans, a DESC employee who died in 1989. Formerly homeless himself, Richard was the inspiration for much of DESC’s core philosophy. He taught us to meet people where they are in their recovery process, and to never give up on anyone.

Evans House opened in 2007, and provides stable supportive housing for 75 formerly homeless adults.
