DESC Burbridge Place expected to begin welcoming tenants in December 2023

DESC is nearly finished building an affordable housing development in the Aurora-Licton Springs neighborhood of Seattle, located at 8610 Aurora Avenue North. This project has been named Burbridge Place in memory of a beloved tenant, Joseph Burbridge. Burbridge Place is unique among DESC housing, built using a patented panelized construction method and innovative environmentally sustainable features.

Expected to begin welcoming tenants in December 2023, the new building will feature approximately 124 studio units of affordable housing with supportive services and indoor/outdoor community spaces for the tenants, single adults who are living with disabilities and have been experiencing homelessness. DESC will continue to own and operate the building after completion.
