The North Star, located in Seattle’s Bitter Lake neighborhood, welcomed tenants in August 2022.
DESC partnered with Bellwether Housing to buy property and develop the building. It features 100 studio units of permanent supportive housing, with supportive services and indoor/outdoor community spaces for single adults who are living with disabilities and who had been experiencing long-time homelessness. DESC owns and operates the building.
