The North Star, which will welcome tenants in early August 2022, is our new affordable housing project in Seattle’s Bitter Lake neighborhood (and was formerly referred to as Bitter Lake).

Help us celebrate the grand opening of The North Star on July 21, at an in-person event.

DESC partnered with Bellwether Housing to buy property and develop the building. It will feature 100 studio units of permanent supportive housing, with supportive services and indoor/outdoor community spaces for single adults who are disabled and formerly homeless. DESC will own and operate the completed building.
